Summary

Join Burwood Group as a Senior .NET Developer for a 6-month contract-to-hire position, potentially transitioning to full-time employment. This remote role, based near Plymouth, PA, involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for a healthcare client focused on medical licensing exams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to healthcare industry security and compliance standards. The position requires extensive experience with .NET Core, Angular, React, and large-scale database management. Burwood offers competitive hourly pay ($60-$70/hr) and benefits for W2 contractors.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related experience
  • Have 5 or more years of related work experience in .NET
  • Be proficient in .NET Core
  • Have strong Web Frontend technology (Angular, React, HTML, CSS) experience
  • Have experience working with large database infrastructure (SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Have recent experience working in an agile environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding of integration technologies such as Kafka and Middleware tools
  • Possess a strong understanding of distributed systems, operating systems, networking, databases, and containers
  • Have experience developing continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines for releasing apps (use of tools such as Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, etc)
  • Possess knowledge and experience on approaches and tools for automated testing and monitoring
  • Have knowledge of security best practices for handling sensitive data in healthcare applications
  • Possess strong presentation and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
  • Participate actively in all phases of the application development lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software applications using .NET technologies
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance
  • Recommend and promote IT industry standards, tools, and practices (DevOps, etc.) to achieve well-engineered software products that evolve with the changing technological landscape
  • Collaborate with other developers to promote high-quality standards and procedures (frameworks, code review, code promotion process)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with .NET Core, Angular, React, HTML, and CSS
  • Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, and large-scale database management
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, and building automated pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, security best practices for healthcare apps, and integration technologies like Kafka
