We are seeking a Developer Advocate (Network API) to join our Developer Relations team and drive the adoption of our Network APIs. This role focuses on enhancing developer experience, reducing implementation complexity, and navigating compliance requirements. You will create solutions and guidance that simplify the integration of Vonage's Network APIs, helping developers understand and implement complex network-level features. A key focus will be on creating sample apps and other resources that address the challenges of network API implementation. You will also gather and analyze developer feedback, represent Vonage at technical events, and collaborate with product teams.
Requirements
- Software development experience and experience with API integration
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive implementation guides, sample applications, and tooling specifically for Network APIs
- Build proof-of-concepts, reference implementations, and debugging tools that showcase best practices for Network API implementation
- Gather and analyze developer feedback to identify opportunities for tooling improvements and new automation solutions
- Represent Vonage at technical events, focusing on network-level solutions and compliance considerations
- Collaborate with Product teams to provide developer perspective on Network API features
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Developer Experience, Developer Relations or Developer Advocacy experience
- Background in creating developer documentation and technical content
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Familiarity with cloud communication platforms (CPaaS), Network APIs, and Vonage APIs
- Knowledge of global telecommunications regulations
