Network Security Consultant

Summary

Join Burwood Group, a leading technology consulting firm, as a Network Security Consultant. This 6-month W2 contract position offers a remote work environment with potential travel. You will provide design, implementation, and support expertise for clients, aligning technology solutions with customer needs. Responsibilities include mentoring junior consultants, participating in business development, and improving internal processes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong IT and consulting background, expertise in network security architectures, and experience with Zscaler and Palo Alto Networks solutions. • Strong understanding of network and network security architectures, solutions, processes, frameworks, and components
• Successfully designed and deployed Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
• Successfully migrated end-users and systems to Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
• Hands-on experience working with Palo Alto Firewalls
• Successfully managed and executed multiple security platform migration projects, including DLP, content filtering, IOT segmentation, and agent-based end-user solutions
• Ability to guide an organization through the Zscaler design and implementation process
• Network protection including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SSL, VPN, DLP, NAC, and WAF
• Incident response, including security monitoring, network and endpoint visibility, threat management, and forensics
• Identity management, including AAA, AD/ADFS, MFA, SSO, RADIUS
• Endpoint/server/data protection, including antivirus, malware protection, web/URL filtering, and MDM
• Risk/compliance, including policy management, vulnerability management, log management, change control, and security analytics/reporting (e.g., Splunk)

Responsibilities

• Provide design, implementation, and support expertise to clients and project teams
• Understand customer requirements and align with technology solutions
• Work closely with other project team members and manage and execute project-level tasks and milestones
• Mentor junior and mid-level consultants
• Participate in business development and pre-sales activities
• Ongoing evaluation and improvement of internal processes
• Stay current on market trends, technologies, and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Zscaler ZDTE and/or ZDTA and Palo Alto PCSNE/PSE certification is a plus
