Network Security Engineer

Summary

Join GuidePoint Security as a Network Security Engineer and provide expert network security implementation and consulting services to diverse clients. You will implement and manage SASE technologies (Zscaler is a must), firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortigate, Check Point, or Cisco), and develop comprehensive security documentation. This role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in enterprise environments, hands-on firewall experience, and experience deploying firewall technologies in major public clouds. Initially, on-site work in Philadelphia for six months is required, followed by remote work. Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of Network Security Engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Experience working with deploying and integrating top SASE technologies from Palo Alto, ZScaler, Netskope, iBoss, HP-Axis, Others. *Zscaler a must, others a plus
• Hands on firewall experience with Palo Alto, Fortigate, CheckPoint, Cisco ASA-Firepower
• Experience deploying firewall technologies in one of the three major public clouds; AWS, Azure or GCP
• Broad experience with foundational network and security concepts
• Experience authoring security runbooks, policy, and best practice documentation
• Ability to confidently lead projects and be the trusted network security voice in customer conversations

Responsibilities

• Provides effective network security implementation and consulting services for multiple unique customers and environments
• Implement and manage SASE technologies from Zscaler a must. Netskope and/or Palo Alto a plus
• Implement and manage firewall platforms from Palo Alto, Fortigate, Check Point or Cisco
• Develop high-level network security documentation including as-builts, recommendations, implementation guides, network diagrams
• Up to 25% out-of-town travel may be required to client locations in the Mid-Atlantic region between Pennsylvania and North Carolina

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consultative or professional services role preferred
• SD-WAN experience deploying technologies such as HP-Silverpeak, Palo Alto Prisma-Cloudgenix, Cisco-Viptela including full SASE integration is a plus
• SASE Certifications preferred
• NGFW and Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) a plus
