Summary

Join our global support team as a NetOps Security Engineer! This long-term B2B contract position, based remotely in Spain, requires expertise in Fortinet and Cisco technologies, with a focus on securing our on-premise infrastructure across multiple data centers. You will maintain, monitor, and secure network environments, collaborating with internal teams on deployments and upgrades. Secondary support for cloud networking in AWS and Azure is also required. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in network operations and security engineering, along with proficiency in various tools and technologies. This role involves collaboration with a globally distributed team and occasional travel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network operations or security engineering roles
  • Solid expertise in Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) and Cisco (ASA, ISE) environments
  • Proven experience managing VPNs, firewalls, and secure network tunnels
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Zabbix
  • Hands-on skills in Ansible scripting for network automation tasks
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure (support capacity)
  • Experience with JIRA and structured incident/ticket escalation processes
  • Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
  • Cisco CCNP Security (or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot a hybrid network infrastructure (Fortinet, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, A10, F5)
  • Maintain and manage FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and Cisco ISE
  • Apply and adjust firewall rules, manage VPNs and secure tunnels for global connectivity
  • Monitor network performance and incidents using SolarWinds and Zabbix
  • Execute patch management, software upgrades, and network migrations across EU sites
  • Support Cloud networking components on AWS (Transit Gateway, EC2, Comm Hubs) and Azure (Virtual WAN, NSGs, Firewalls)
  • Contribute to automation efforts using Ansible scripts
  • Use JIRA for ticketing and Incident Management for emergency response/escalations
  • Collaborate closely with a globally distributed network operations team
  • Occasionally contribute to network design suggestions and enhancements based on operational findings
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and travel if required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade hardware from Arista, Juniper, A10, and F5 is a plus
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications are a strong plus
  • Experience working in a global IT support model
  • Exposure to ITIL-based processes and incident management
  • Understanding of Zero Trust and modern security frameworks
