As a Network Services team member, you will be responsible for evaluating firewall rules and access requests, ensuring compliance with security policies, and utilizing Tufin for automation and compliance checks. Requirements
- At least 3-5 years experience deploying, configuring, and administering Cisco firewalls
- Cisco firewall, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS and Cisco ISE Experience
- Hands on experience with network protocols ( EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc)
- Experience securing a large inter network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access
- Experience in managing site-to-site and remote access VPNs
- Experience in resolving network connectivity failures
- Must have excellent understanding of networking at all layers of the OSI model
- Must be comfortable in reading packet captures (wireshark / pcap)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated success in managing, analyzing and solving complex network issues
- Experience in managing network and security technologies
Responsibilities
- Firewall Rule Evaluation: Assess firewall rule and access requests, collaborating with the Firewall Engineer and customers to ensure compliance with customer’s Information Assurance Policies and Procedures (IAPP) and standard security policies
- Compliance and Automation: Utilize Tufin to enable compliance checks and automate security analysis wherever feasible, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in security operations
- Process Development: Support and collaborate in the development and refinement of end-to-end processes for firewall rule and access requests, ensuring streamlined and effective operations
- Policy Cleanup and Hygiene: Lead initiatives to clean up and maintain the hygiene of J&J's firewall policy. Leverage Tufin's reporting capabilities to identify and address policy redundancies and inefficiencies
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on security practices and policies, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies, proposing enhancements to existing processes and tools to improve security posture
- On-Call Schedule: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical security incidents and ensure rapid response to any potential threats or breaches
