Network Technician

Summary

Join Brightspeed as a Network Technician and be responsible for maintaining and supporting all aspects of central office switching equipment, backup generators, special circuits, and fiber/copper networks. You will monitor switch alarms, work with the TIRKS system, and ensure optimal network performance. This role requires familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues. Requirements

• Familiarity with both inside and outside plant cabling practices
• Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution
• Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work well with both customers and fellow peers

Responsibilities

• Supporting and maintaining all switching equipment in Central Offices
• Keeping all backup generators in optimum condition
• Installing, supporting, and maintaining special circuits and being capable of working within the TIRKS system
• Monitoring and supporting all switch alarm activity
• Installing, supporting, and maintaining fiber and copper networks
• Supporting and maintaining transport networks and central power platforms
