Neural Network Development Lead

Summary

Join Untether AI, a rapidly growing Toronto startup, as a Neural Network Development Lead. You will design and develop cutting-edge neural networks for our Model Garden and customers. This role involves hands-on development, collaboration with a cross-functional team, and acting as a liaison between customers and internal teams. You will leverage and develop software tools to optimize neural networks for our customers. The position requires strong C++ skills, experience in AI, and project management experience. Requirements

• Hold a Computer Science, engineering, or related degree
• Possess a background in program/project management
• Have at least 5+ years of experience specifically in AI
• Be a creative problem solver passionate about solving hard problems
• Possess strong C++ development skills
• Have experience with tuning and optimizing code for high performance
• Have knowledge of Neural Network basic operator algorithms - Convolutions, Transformers, RNNs
• Show interest in problem-solving within highly structured and tightly constrained environments

Responsibilities

• Manage program/project teams to deliver Neural Network Model Garden Models, including the identification, design, and implementation of C++ low-level flexible programs (kernels) for various neural net operations
• Develop complex kernels and compiler strategies to address network requirements when needed
• Communicate performance optimization ideas to compiler/kernel engineers and architects working on future product generations

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold a Masters in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Be Project Management Certified (PMP/ScrumMaster)
• Have experience delivering high-performance software to production
• Have Python experience
• Have experience with other AI accelerator programming
• Possess strong mathematical and communication skills
