This fully remote position offers flexible hours and focuses on supporting remote prescribing of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), specifically VR headsets for therapeutic applications. You will review patient intake forms, conduct short intake sessions, evaluate medical necessity for DME, and electronically prescribe DME while adhering to regulations. Collaboration with XRHealth's clinical and operations teams is key to streamlining workflows and maintaining accurate documentation. This role is perfect for nurse practitioners seeking supplemental, mission-driven work in digital health. Compensation is $100-$115/hour as a 1099 position.

Requirements

• NP or APRN with an active medical license in multiple states
• Comfortable using EMR/EHR systems and e-prescribing platforms
• Strong attention to detail and professional integrity

Responsibilities

• Review patient intake forms and clinical documentation
• Complete short intake sessions with patients
• Evaluate medical necessity for DME (VR devices) used in therapy programs
• Electronically prescribe DME in compliance with payer, federal, and state regulations
• Collaborate with XRHealth’s clinical and operations teams to streamline remote prescribing workflows
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remote care, telemedicine, or digital health platforms preferred
• Experience with pain management, managing chronic conditions
• Knowledge of DME prescribing regulations and/or behavioral health protocols is a plus
