On-Call Psychiatrist

Join our team as a skilled on-call Psychiatrist and provide exceptional mental health care to patients at a children's hospital in the Philadelphia area.

Requirements

• Doctorate Medicine of Osteopathic Medicine required
• Medical License to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
• Ability to travel on site on an as-needed basis
• DEA license
• Experienced in both medication management as well as therapy for child and adolescent populations

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
• Prescribe and monitor psychopharmacological medications to manage symptoms
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients
• Utilize crisis management techniques when necessary to address acute mental health issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Know and understand relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in order to ensure compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned
