Join Aston Online, a leading provider of world-class online degree programs, as an Online Tutor for BSc Computer Science students. You will play a vital role in facilitating student learning, providing exceptional support, and ensuring student success. This 100% remote position offers flexible hours and the chance to utilize your expertise in computer science to help students achieve their goals. As an Online Tutor, you will deliver academic content, engage students in learning activities, and assess student work. The ideal candidate possesses a BSc in Computer Science (2:1 or above), relevant industry experience, and experience teaching and assessing at the degree level. Requirements
- You will hold a minimum of a BSc in Computer Science (2:1 or above)
- You will have relevant industry experience
- You will have experience of teaching and assessing at degree level
- You will have the ability to teach across a range of topics appropriate to all levels of an undergraduate computing course, including programming, software engineering and specialist topics such as web development, information security, Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems and mobile development
- You have high standards and with demonstrable impact on studentsβ learning
- You are motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
- You are a passionate and excellent, clear communicator
- You have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence

Responsibilities
- Providing an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team
- Facilitating activities that engage and support student learning
- Undertaking assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Experience of using Virtual Learning Environments as learning tools
- Experience of teaching and assessing online programmes
