Openshift Administrator

Summary

Join ARC Group as an Openshift Administrator in a fully remote position! This 6-month contract role, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment, requires 5+ years of experience supporting Red Hat Openshift clusters. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Collaboration with various teams is crucial, and experience with technologies like Prometheus, Jenkins, and Gitlab is essential. Requirements

• Have 5+ years experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift clusters, containers, Docker images and pods
• Have good experience in PaaS offerings
• Administer OpenShift cluster on VmWare infrastructure
• Have strong Linux Administration experience
• Have experience planning, designing and building out clusters using CoreOS, deployments of pods, and administration
• Be able to install, configure and support Red Hat OpenShift Cluster 3.x in a large scale enterprise environment
• Use Prometheus monitoring for the OpenShift Platform
• Have experience with Jenkins, Gitlab
• Have experience rolling out patches for security and applications
• Work with teams to support CI/CD tools
• Proactively monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies
• Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues/failures
• Proactively monitors and identifies broader, more complex issues across multiple, integrated, connecting technologies and communicate as appropriate
• Contribute input into infrastructure architecture and ensure infrastructure architecture is implemented as intended
• Document installation, maintenance and operational procedures for software and other technologies in the area of responsibility
• Perform on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies
• Have a Related Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
• Have 3+ years of Red Hat Linux Administration exp
• Have 3+ years’ experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting messaging infrastructure in a Linux environment
• Have experience working in a regulated environments where Audits/Compliance must be adhered to

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, including Installation, configuration, patching, security, monitoring and support
• Work closely with system administrators, architects, developers, and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues within the OpenShift platform
• Participate as part of a technical team responsible for the overall support and management of the OpenShift container domain
• Participate on projects in which they are required to with multiple applications teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Have Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
• Have experience supporting applications running on Docker and Kubernetes
• Have experience with RHCSA and RHCE certification
