Optimization Scientist

Summary

Join DEFCON AI, a Red Cell Partners company, as a Senior Optimization Analyst and contribute to cutting-edge analytics for defense and commercial applications. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team, have direct access to leadership, and lead strategically and operationally across business, product, and technical domains. This role requires a strong analytical background, programming skills, and a Secret Clearance. Requirements

• MS, or Ph.D. in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering, or related field
• Experience formulating and solving mixed integer linear and/or non-linear optimization
• Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science
• Programming experience in Python and/or R, including common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, Numpy) and SQL
• At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems
• Secret Clearance, ability to achieve a Secret Clearance required

• Conduct cutting edge analytics in support of defense and commercial applications
• Work in a highly collaborative environment with a diverse team of analytic and subject matter experts
• Build strategic direction
• Lead at the strategic level and day-to-day by diving deeply into business, product, and technical domains

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience formulating and solving mobility/transportation problems
• Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques
• At least 10 years of experience using analysis to solve a wide range of complex problems
