Summary

Join Sword, a leading provider of business technology solutions, as an OSI PI Engineer. This permanent, remote (UK-based) role involves supporting and managing a customer portfolio of PI Systems within the Energy sector. You will leverage your extensive experience as a Systems Engineer and expertise in OSI PI, SQL, Oracle, and database interfaces. Requirements

  • Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios
  • Previous extensive experience as a Systems Engineer
  • Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces
  • Analytical skills
  • Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap
  • Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding
  • Database knowledge
  • Familiar with Agile & DevOps

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage our customer’s portfolio of PI Systems
  • Support a diverse portfolio of applications, including Real-Time asset information systems (primarily OSI PI)
  • Liaise closely with vendors and keep them on track
  • Reporting
  • Understanding on Allocations, system configuration and performance, Production / Lost-production figures

Preferred Qualifications

Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python
