Summary
Join Miovision as a skilled US Payroll & Benefits Specialist! Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be the company's subject matter expert on US payroll and benefits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires managing end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state US employees using Rippling, administering employee benefits, and ensuring a seamless open enrollment process. You will be responsible for resolving employee benefit inquiries and conducting benefits education sessions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about employee benefits and payroll accuracy. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing multi-state US payroll and benefits administration
- Expert knowledge of US payroll and benefits laws, including FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and IRS regulations
- Experience with Rippling or similar payroll platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on employee education and engagement
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state US employees (hourly and salaried) using Rippling
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursements, tax withholdings, and deductions
- Administer payroll taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with FLSA, IRS, and state wage laws
- Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll laws, implementing changes as needed
- Prepare and submit quarterly and year-end payroll tax filings, including W-2s, 1099s, and payroll tax returns
- Oversee payroll audits, ensuring internal controls and compliance
- Lead payroll system optimization and implementation to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Manage and administer health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), FSAs, HSAs, and other employee benefits
- Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
- Partner with HR and external benefits providers to ensure a seamless open enrollment process and ongoing employee support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues related to eligibility, claims, and deductions
- Conduct benefits education sessions to ensure employees understand their options and coverage
- Analyze benefits utilization and costs, recommending improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain accurate benefits and payroll records, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
- Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite
