You will deliver impact through strategic ownership, governance frameworks, policy alignment, incident resolution, documentation excellence, SLA accountability, mentorship, thought leadership, stakeholder influence, and enablement & communication. Requirements

  • Deep expertise in payroll, employment, and tax compliance across multiple countries or markets
  • Proven track record of leading complex audits, regulatory reviews, or cross-border compliance programs
  • Trusted escalation point and subject matter expert in high-risk or strategic matters
  • Strategic communicator who influences stakeholders across all levels—including product, legal, and senior leadership
  • Confident mentor and coach with experience developing team capability through structured learning and feedback
  • A systems thinker—able to scale solutions, frameworks, and documentation with clarity and impact
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity and fast-changing environments with adaptability and integrity
  • Comfortable leading initiatives across async, multicultural, and remote-first teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex audits and compliance initiatives across multiple countries or domains with 100% on-time delivery
  • Design and implement ≥3 scalable best practices or frameworks annually to elevate compliance maturity
  • Ensure >95% alignment with key compliance policies across countries/markets
  • Resolve 100% of high-priority risks/issues within 6 weeks; proactively embed learnings
  • Maintain 100% of core compliance documentation up to date, reviewed quarterly, and accessible in real time
  • Resolve ≥95% of Payroll Ops queries within SLA, partnering with key stakeholders to improve first-time resolution
  • Deliver ≥4 documented mentorship or coaching sessions per year; improve team review outcomes year over year
  • Publish or co-author ≥2 high-impact compliance articles/pieces per year and lead ≥2 external speaking engagements
  • Achieve ≥90% positive feedback from cross-functional stakeholders on compliance partnership
  • Tailor messaging and materials to audience needs; support quarterly coaching/upskilling documentation
