Summary

Join Vanta as Head of People Ops and Total Rewards and lead the core People Operations and Total Rewards functions, scaling them for significant company growth. Partner with senior leadership to build efficient, scalable systems and processes. Drive reporting and visibility for all People Team functions, explaining their impact to the broader organization. Drive long-term improvements in systems and processes, anticipating future challenges. Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to the People Ops and Compensation teams, and continue hiring top talent. Help provide meaningful benchmarking of best practices while rethinking approaches in line with Vanta's principles. The role requires significant experience in People Ops and Total Rewards at scale, impeccable people management skills, a strong analytical mind, and a data-first orientation.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in People Ops and Total Rewards, with significant experience operating at scale - 1,000-5,000+ headcount
  • High depth of experience in both People Ops (incl compliance, mobility, policies, people systems, and people analytics) and Total Rewards (including compensation, executive compensation, and benefits, especially providing benefits at scale)
  • Impeccable people management skills - every person youโ€™ve ever managed should respect you as a leader, coach, and mentor
  • A strong analytical mind, and the skill to develop a point of view on any problem quickly and without personal bias
  • A data-first orientation in all problem solving
  • High resilience and calm, balanced with a high bias toward delivering outcomes quickly

Responsibilities

  • Lead our People Ops, Compensation, and Benefits teams, along with leading and building other teams that are part of People Ops (e.g., People Systems, People Analytics)
  • Partner closely with our senior leadership to build efficient, scalable, best-in-class systems and processes to support Vantaโ€™s people growth
  • Drive upward and outward reporting and visibility for all People Team functions, clearly and frequently explaining our impact to the broader organization
  • Drive long-term improvements in People Ops, Compensation, and Benefits systems and processes, particularly from the perspective of anticipating challenges of future scale before they materialize and building for the future
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and support for our awesome People Ops and Compensation teams, and continue hiring A+ teammates to scale them
  • Help provide meaningful, and current, benchmarking of best practices across all People Team functions - while not being beholden to any HR playbook and rethinking everything from the ground up in keeping with Vantaโ€™s principles and high level of action-orientation and operational rigor and excellence
