Summary

Join GFiber, an Alphabet company that brings Google Fiber and Google Fiber Webpass internet services to homes and businesses across the United States. As the Head of Physical Security, you will be responsible for setting the GFiber's physical security strategy and operationalizing all aspects of the Physical Security program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of security experience including but not limited to: facilities, warehouses, stadiums, corporate offices, and/or private
  • 5 years of experience with physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, risk assessment methodologies and security management software, intrusion detection, and/or emergency response
  • Experience developing ground up physical security and resilience programs in a dynamic, fast paced start-up business environment
  • Experience developing and managing relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality physical security services
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, installation, and maintenance of physical security systems, including access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, PSIM, and emergency response systems for current and future GFiber offices
  • Develop, implement, and ensure proper security policies, procedures, regulations, metrics, and requirements with internal employees and vendors across all GFiber locations
  • Work closely with GFiber IT teams and Network Operation teams for core duties, as well as GFiber REWS on other initiatives and programs as needed
  • Oversee and manage Access Control and Credential Management (ACCM) requests, badge deployment, system changes, and administration
  • Be responsible for physical security vendor contract development, negotiation, and management in support of outsourced functions, in accordance with company governance and guidelines
  • Develop strategies for comprehensive risk assessment programs to identify potential physical security threats and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans
  • Establish and maintain effective law enforcement partnerships (local, state, and federal) in support of corporate and field operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPP (ASIS designation, certified protection professional)
  • PSP (ASIS designation, Physical Security Professional)
  • Experience managing vendors or an in-house security team
