Physician - APP Supervision

Summary

Join Oscar Medical Group's Virtual Health Assessment team as a supervising physician for Advanced Practice Providers. This remote role involves overseeing health assessments conducted via telemedicine; you will not provide direct patient care. You'll collaborate with other healthcare professionals and ensure compliance with regulations. The position requires board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, supervision experience with NPs and PAs, and a Georgia medical license. Compensation includes $300 per APP per month for supervision, plus malpractice insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with risk adjustment methodologies and HEDIS measures.

Requirements

• Board-certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Supervision experience of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
• Must live in Georgia
• Must have an active state license in Georgia
• 3+ years experience in an outpatient family or internal medicine practice
• Strong understanding of risk adjustment methodologies, including HCC coding principles
• Familiarity with HEDIS measures, including their role in quality improvement and performance measurement

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants within state by state regulations
• Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other providers across service lines
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Telemedicine experience
• Fluent in Spanish
• IMLCC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) physician license or eligible for IMLCC
• Licensed in OMG states: MI, IL, CT, PA, NC, OK, VA, TX, FL, OH, TN, MO
