Summary

Join XRHealth, a company transforming healthcare through virtual reality therapy, as a part-time, licensed physician. This fully remote position offers flexible hours and focuses on supporting remote prescribing of Durable Medical Equipment (VR headsets) for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic applications. You will review patient intake forms, conduct short intake sessions, evaluate medical necessity for DME, and electronically prescribe DME while adhering to regulations. Collaboration with XRHealth's clinical and operations teams is key to streamlining workflows and maintaining accurate documentation. This is an ideal supplemental role for a physician interested in digital health and making a difference.

Requirements

• MD or DO with an active medical license in multiple states
• Comfortable using EMR/EHR systems and e-prescribing platforms
• Strong attention to detail and professional integrity

Responsibilities

• Review patient intake forms and clinical documentation
• Complete short intake sessions with prospective patients
• Evaluate medical necessity for DME (VR devices) used in therapy programs
• Electronically prescribe DME in compliance with payer, federal, and state regulations
• Collaborate with XRHealth’s clinical and operations teams to streamline remote prescribing workflows
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is a strong plus
• Experience with remote care, telemedicine, or digital health platforms preferred
• Experience with pain management, managing chronic conditions
• Knowledge of DME prescribing regulations and/or behavioral health protocols is a plus
