Physician - Virtual Urgent Care

Summary

Join Oscar Medical Group's Virtual Urgent Care team as a Physician! Provide virtual care to members in designated states, using audio, video, and written communication. This part-time employed role offers flexible shifts (Thurs, Sat, & Sun 1p-11p EST or Sat & Sun 8a-6p EST) and a remote work-from-home option. The base pay is $135-$145 per hour, with benefits including CME, PTO, and 401k. You'll collaborate with a care team, utilize virtual exam tools, and participate in meetings to support patient care. Compliance with laws and regulations is essential.

Requirements

• MD/DO from accredited program
• Board Certification (ER/FM/IM)
• 3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience
• 2+ years of experience delivering virtual care
• Licensed in core Oscar states (FL, GA, TX) and TN/MO
• Compact license from IMLCC or eligible for a compact license

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting
• Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team as needed when working with complex patients
• Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and other providers as needed
• Use tooling to allow virtual “exams” including remote home monitoring equipment, remote physical exam, remote point of care diagnostics
• Participate in collaborative care model with various care team members including but not limited to registered nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical supervisor where applicable
• Participate in required meetings to support patient care including huddles, case conferencing and regular service line All Hands
• Provide feedback to support improvement in operational workflows and product features
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish language fluency
• Able and willing to obtain additional licensure in Oscar Medical Group states
