As a Platform Developer on the Engineering Operations team, you will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud-native platforms using AWS managed services and Kubernetes resources. You will deploy and maintain infrastructure, design and provision EKS clusters, deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes, support engineering and operations teams, and build CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab. The role also involves migrating microservices, advocating for DevOps practices, and improving system observability. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies in production environments
- Strong foundation in Cloud Native Concepts & AWS Core
- Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, core AWS services, and containerization fundamentals
- Expertise in Kubernetes Ecosystem
- Proven knowledge and experience with Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and operational best practices, specifically leveraging Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with Terraform and Helm for declarative infrastructure
- CI/CD Pipeline Development & Management
- Experience with automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying containerized applications into AWS and Kubernetes via Gitlab Cloud or ArgoCD
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain infrastructure in AWS
- EKS cluster design and provisioning
- Application deployment and management in Kubernetes
- Support and work alongside Engineering and Operations teams
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab to meet security & software compliance
- Migrate internal microservices from ECS to EKS
- Advocate for DevOps practices within the organization
- Improve observability of the system through monitoring and alerting
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in coding with Python or Bash
- Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Understanding of document stores such as Elasticsearch or DynamoDB
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator - Associate
- Experience in the airline industry and familiarity with travel technology
