Platform Operations Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Platform Ops Engineer and drive us forward with your expertise in automation, self-serve tooling, and regional environments. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll contribute to Flatfile's uptime and stability, working on our architecture and engineering stack to directly impact product development and customer success.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a strongly typed tech language (Typescript, Rust, Go)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure ecosystems (AWS, GCP) and common CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab)
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or ContainerD
• Working knowledge in container orchestration technologies (like Kubernetes)
• Experience with observability and telemetry stacks (DataDog, OpenTelemetry)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain self-serve observability and CI/CD tooling
• Lead in deploying and maintaining regional environments
• Spearhead the deployment of self-hosted environments
• Manage incident response effectively
• Improve and scale our observability and telemetry systems
• Address varied responsibilities ranging from TypeScript engineering to cloud networking
• Advocate and educate team members on best practices and the ever-changing landscape
