Summary

Join Mindera's world-class team as a Cloud Engineer and become part of an agile project team working with all infrastructure components of a system. You will oversee migration processes, design, maintain, and monitor the new cloud platform, and configure hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical skills and leadership abilities, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing cloud services within the Microsoft Azure platform, optimizing infrastructure and applications for performance, scalability, and security. National and international travel may be required (0%-15%).

Requirements

  • Azure Cloud experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization of cloud platforms
  • Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling using Azure DevOps
  • Experience in IaC development using Terraform (with Azure CLI, ARM Templates and Puppet)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, preferably AKS
  • Experience with Power shell for writing Scripts. Experience with other languages are huge plus
  • Managing and monitoring cloud infrastructures to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency
  • Experience working within an Agile framework
  • Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
  • Flexible working approach and team player

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on the Azure platform (with a clear exit strategy)
  • Collaborating with development teams to integrate cloud services into software applications
  • Optimising resource utilisation and implementing cost-saving measures
  • Staying current with Azure services updates and industry best practices to recommend improvements to existing architectures
  • Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders on cloud-related issues
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for cloud architectures, procedures, and training materials
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with business processes
  • Analyse existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
  • Develop and implement automated policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being modernized
  • Designing, migrating and operation on medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems

Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with SDLC - Previous experience as Software Engineering is huge plus
