Summary

Join Believe, a leading digital music company, as a Platform Software Engineer (Apprenticeship) and contribute to the development of our Internal Developer Portal based on Spotify Backstage. Develop and maintain the portal using Node.js and React, perform database migrations, integrate search functionalities, and apply best practices for testing and code documentation. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand and integrate user needs. This role requires a background in web development and familiarity with Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing an engineering degree or master's in computer science. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an engineering degree (Bac +4/5) or a master’s in computer science
  • Familiarity with Node.js, ideally with a framework like Express.js
  • Knowledge of front-end development, particularly React or similar frameworks
  • Basic understanding of database management, especially PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of testing principles and development best practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the portal using Node.js and the ExpressJS framework
  • Write responsive and high-performance front-end components in React for our portal plugins
  • Perform migrations and maintenance of the PostgreSQL database
  • Integrate and optimize search functionalities
  • Apply best practices for testing, linting, and code documentation
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand and integrate user needs into development

Preferred Qualifications

  • A first experience in web development (internship, personal projects, or academic work) is a plus
  • Awareness of Docker and containerized environments (a plus)
