Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Possess at least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in cloud computing and program management
- Demonstrate a proven track record of leading successful cloud projects and teams
- Have in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies
- Possess strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Have experience with cloud cost optimization and performance monitoring tools
- Be proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Understand business processes and how cloud technology can drive business value
- Have the ability to align technical initiatives with strategic business goals
- Have 15+ years of experience in the required role, with a strong background in delivering professional services projects and programs within large-scale consulting firms
- Have experience working on Cloud Migration and Transformation projects (AWS, Azure and GCP)
- Be legally allowed to work in the US for any employer
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, architects, and project managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive successful cloud initiatives
- Maintain a consistent and prioritized view of all problems related to a program and actively captures and monitors problems that externally influence a program
- Guide program teams and related project managers in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Develop and manage programmatic risk management plan including issues, risks, likelihood, mitigation strategies, mitigation resource needs, and timeframes
- Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project success and optimal utilization of team members
- Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring that the organization receives optimal service and support. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to meet business needs
- Oversee the cloud program's budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively. Monitor spending and make adjustments as necessary to stay within budgetary constraints
- Identify potential risks associated with cloud initiatives and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends. Continuously seek opportunities to improve cloud infrastructure, processes, and practices
- Ensures executive stakeholder engagement through effective escalation management to assist in problem resolutions as appropriate even when outside of immediate organization and role
- Highly effective at sourcing solutions across program teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold a master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect)
- Have PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Have PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification
- Have Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification
- Have SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) / SAFe Agilist (SA) certification
Benefits
- The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $171,400 - $228,500
- The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $187,500 - $250,000
- The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $205,600 - $274,100
- Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments
- Occasional travel, less than 20%
