Power Query Developer

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Power Query and custom M Language development, with a strong focus on Excel
• Strong background in KPI dashboard design, development, and automation, especially within Excel
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with extensive use of Power Query
• Excellent written English skills – Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
• Highly organized and detail-oriented – Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and quality
• Strong time management skills – Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset – Works well within a team while also being able to take ownership of projects
• Work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change dependant on daylight savings)
• A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory
• A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages
• This is a remote role for South African Citizens only

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize advanced Power Query solutions using custom M Language, primarily within Excel
• Design and implement KPI dashboards with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions in Excel
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in DAX and experience with Power BI
• Strong Design Experience
