Summary
Join Revamp's summer internship program, a twelve-week full-time opportunity to gain valuable experience in renewable energy engineering. The program offers hands-on experience with specialized software, Python programming, and renewable energy system components. Interns will work under the direction of experienced staff, contributing to real-world projects. The internship is paid hourly and may lead to full-time employment upon graduation. The program can be completed remotely or in-office, with flexible scheduling to accommodate student needs. A part-time or co-op arrangement may also be possible.
Requirements
- Minimum 60 semester hours completed in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level ABET accredited engineering program with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4
- Experience writing code in python is required
Responsibilities
- Gain skill in specialized software tools including ETAP and other power system software use in the design of utility-scale renewable energy power plant facilities
- Utilizing Python or other programming languages, create or modify process automations to assist Power Systems departmental tasks
- Acquire knowledge of PV & BESS system components such as modules, racking, inverters and Balance of Systems (BOS)
- May be required to support the creation of models and performance of analyses for Utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes
- Work under the direction of full-time staff
- Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and theories is strongly preferred
- Coursework or prior internship experience in data science, python programming, or power engineering is strongly preferred
- Introductory knowledge of relevant software including ETAP, and similar is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Efficient time management β must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
