Summary

Join Caylent, a cloud native services company, as a Principal Architect to contribute to our growing Cloud Architecture & Engineering team. Work alongside engineers, architects, sales, and project managers to deliver AWS solutions to diverse customers. Lead discovery sessions, design high-impact cloud solutions, and guide teams through implementation. Create and share public-facing content showcasing Caylent's innovation. Support pre-sales activities and mentor other architects and engineers. This role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Builds trust with senior stakeholders through transparency, strategic updates, and reliable delivery
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates risks that could impact customer success or project alignment
  • Facilitates priority alignment and conflict resolution across multi-stakeholder environments
  • Guides cross-functional teams through challenging scenarios with calm, strategic leadership
  • Handles escalations and scope-related disagreements with professionalism, clarity, and confidence
  • Remains composed in high-stakes or unexpected situations, reinforcing alignment and proposing actionable next steps
  • 5+ years of experience as an Architect in enterprise environments, preferably in a consulting capacity
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical objectives and solutions while cultivating professional client relationships
  • Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking across business, product, and technical challenges
  • Strong expertise in serverless development using API Gateway, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, and CloudFront
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS environments and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Advanced experience with DevOps automation, including containerization, API management, and multi-cloud solutions

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical advisor and thought leader across multiple workstreams and strategic customer engagements
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business goals and design high-impact, cloud solutions
  • Lead discovery sessions, create and present technical artifacts, and define long-term architectural strategy
  • Guide small teams or oversee larger teams through implementation and delivery
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and provide architectural direction across internal and external projects
  • Create and share public-facing content that showcases Caylent’s innovation and technical leadership
  • Support pre-sales through proposal development, scoping, and technical estimation
  • Mentor Architects and Engineers across projects and practices to elevate technical execution and growth
  • Represent Caylent with delivery excellence and deep technical leadership

  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
  • Scripting
  • Containers (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS, Fargate)
  • Cloud security best practices

  • Incident, release, problem, and change management
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
