Summary

Join Palo Alto Networks® as a Principal Consultant and lead innovative cybersecurity consulting engagements for some of the world's largest organizations. This senior-level role within the Unit 42 Proactive Services team offers client-facing opportunities to become a trusted advisor, tackling significant cybersecurity challenges across various industries. You will work directly with clients, leading engagements in offensive and defensive security, cloud security, cyber crisis management, and security strategy and transformation. The position requires 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, specializing in at least two of the listed domains, and a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. While primarily remote, some travel may be required. Palo Alto Networks offers a supportive work environment with various development and wellbeing programs.

Requirements

  • Have 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in at least two of the above-listed domains
  • Be a strong team player and contributor to developing services and solutions
  • Demonstrate a track record in strengthening existing and developing new client relationships
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up style environment
  • Have the flexibility to travel from time to time to meet with customers and teams
  • Have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree such as Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security OR equivalent years of professional experience to meet job requirements and expectations

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative consulting engagements
  • Become a trusted advisor to some of the world's largest organizations
  • Assist clients with their most significant cybersecurity challenges
  • Work directly with multiple customers across a range of industries and stakeholder groups
  • Embrace data, technological, and innovative approaches to deliver the best consulting outcomes for clients
  • Work on complex engagements independently
  • Be involved in various work streams depending on skills and business needs
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy learning and team collaboration
  • Share with and learn from a globally recognized industry-leading team of security consultants and researchers
  • Provide impact to a range of consulting engagements, including (but not limited to): Offensive Security, Defensive Security & Operations, Cloud Security, Cyber Crisis Management & Threat-led Consulting, and Cyber Security Strategy, Risk Management (inc AI Security), Security Architecture & Transformation (including Zero Trust)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have blended experience working in-house in large organizations and consulting experience from industry-leading companies
  • Develop an external presence via public speaking, conferences, and/or publications
  • Have credibility, executive presence, and gravitas
  • Be able to have a meaningful delivery contribution
  • Have the potential and capacity to understand all aspects of the business and develop an excellent understanding of PANW security products
  • Be collaborative and able to build relationships internally, externally, and across key PANW functions, including the account teams
