Summary
Join Avetta as a Principal: Health & Safety, acting as the principal subject matter expert supporting expert services and pre-sales processes globally. This role blends consultative support and sales, solution support, and client relationship building. You will understand customer needs, position Avetta as a solution leader, and support professional services. You'll develop professional service offerings for pre- and post-client HS&E planning and execution. The ideal candidate is creative, innovative, and a credible advisor, architecting solutions for HS&E leaders' organizational goals. This position involves building relationships with prospects and clients, delivering advice, and supporting various client engagements. You will also support the advancement and improvement of Avetta's systems approach, working with product leads and developing metrics. Finally, you will represent Avetta as an external HS&E expert.
Requirements
- Health/Safety experience at site level, regional, national/international experience
- Solid experience in presentation as it relates to modern safety practice: business case for safety, workforce management (joint employer/contractor mgmt)
- Knowledgeable related to New View/practices: Human / Org Performance, Safety 1&2, Intervention Strategy for Serious Injury / Fatality
- Writing and content development; papers, presentations
- Innovation and creativity for visual management / safety systems
- Development of Leading / Impact Metrics and Monitoring
- Management of Stakeholder and Partnership Development
- Bachelors Degree required
Responsibilities
- Act as HS&E SME for the Organization with a Sales Support & Consulting Focus
- Support systems and PDCA strategy working to connect internal narratives to an external, improving product engagement
- Assist in ongoing development & support of Safety Maturity Index & related performance metrics
- Continually support supplier feedback, scoring and training needs into Avetta LMS, NSC Microsite and industry solutions
- Lead technical discussions and round tables with HS&E professionals & industry groups
- Development of unique content for HS&E buyers and clients
- Act as an expert on competitive advantage specific to HS&E
- Provide expert SME support by attending conferences, industry groups, roadshows and client-driven affairs
- Perform additional assigned tasks as directed
- Willingness to travel (domestic and international)
- Flexibility to occasionally operate outside of standard hours, if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in various HS&E roles
- Proficient with Safety Management Systems
- Expertise with Project Management
- Expertise with Building Business Cases
- Expertise with Root Cause Analysis
- Proficient with Contractor Safety Management
- Proficient with Analytics and Opportunity Assessment
- Ability to create and present information that is informative, comprehensive and targeted
- Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal communication
- Proficiency in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Web Conferencing Software (e.g. Zoom, Webex, etc.)
- Proficient Knowledge β Avetta, ISN, Achilles, Veriforce, PEC, ComplyWorks
- CSP, ARM and/or other relevant credentials / certifications in Health/Safety
- Industry participation / network strength in related groups such as: ASSP, NSC or others
