The ideal candidate possesses strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of digital learning and instructional design, strong stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities. This role offers a target salary range of $170,000 to $185,000 and enterprise benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data, adept at synthesizing market data, customer feedback, and performance metrics into actionable insights
  • Proven experience in market research, user feedback analysis, and data analytics, with the ability to translate insights into strategic decisions
  • Background in content creation, content strategy, with a solid understanding of instructional design and digital learning
  • Knowledge of the Learning & Development (L&D) industry, the needs of the CHRO, CLO and L&D buyer
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to anticipate market shifts and evolving user needs
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking and engaging external executive stakeholders
  • Skilled in articulating product strategy and vision clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in matrixed environments, leading and influencing without direct authority
  • Strong focus on quality, ensuring content consistently meets high standards and aligns with the overall content strategy
  • Strong experience working with customers and field representatives

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the learner experience with the leadership and business curriculum
  • Work collaboratively across matrixed teams including product marketing, sales, customer success, content creation, and technology, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless integration of curriculum initiatives into the broader business context
  • Develop and lead a robust, innovative curriculum and learning strategy for our power skills content, ensuring alignment with market needs, learner preferences, and organizational growth objectives
  • Analyze user feedback and usage analytics to assess content effectiveness and engagement, ensuring continuous optimization
  • Work closely and create strong feedback loops with marketing and other field representatives to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to shape the product portfolio
  • Champion innovation by staying abreast of best-in-class instructional design methodologies and learning science trends. Push the organization toward thought leadership in instructional excellence and learner engagement
  • Work with the content creative, production and engineering teams to ensure execution of new ideas
  • Partner with platform and engineering teams to determine innovative ways to deliver an interactive and engaging experience that both reflects elevated instructional design through platform features ang that meet the current and future direction of the market
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize product performance and user engagement
  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry thought leaders to gather insights and validate product requirements and strategies
  • Represent Skillsoft at conferences, webinars, and other industry events
