Requirements

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in professional services Program Management role leading ERP Implementations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics Preferred)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Proven experience managing multi-platform projects within a Program
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Senior/Executive Management (including business and IT C-level staff) and customers/vendors
  • Balance of business knowledge and people management skills
  • Applied experience with PMI Program and Project Management standards and best practices, and methodologies AGILE, SCRUM, SAFe, CMM, CPM, Waterfall, etc
  • Proven success in Program Management, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Proven success leading Programs with Global teams upwards of 100 internal/external resources in multiple time zones and geographic locations
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Skilled in managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and aligning diverse stakeholder interests
  • Ability to travel both within North America and internationally as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all technical, cost control and operational actions required to successfully meet contractual obligations
  • Ensure client satisfaction for designated contract deliverable commitments
  • Primary responsibility effective management of integrated solutions, ensuring that the specified quality and efficiency of deliverables is met within the budgetary and timeline objectives
  • Applies an appropriate program management framework for assigned programs  – planning and monitoring performance, managing the daily operations of personnel assigned to the Program Team, ensuring production of contractual deliverables and managing Program risks
  • Leads team members on a matrix managed approach
  • Serve as the focal point for Program resource planning
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a global ERP implementation across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget
  • Develop and manage the Program plan, including scope, and schedule of projects and workstreams within the Program plan. Strategically identify any cross project/workstream impacts to resources, risk, quality and change management
  • Develop and maintain an integrated Program schedule that includes major all major milestones and tasks
  • Lead and set the standards and direction for the assigned Project Managers and/or Workstream Leads to ensure alignment and consistency to the Program for the individual project/workstream planning and execution
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across time zones, cultures, and business units to ensure seamless execution
  • Engage with C-level executives and senior stakeholders to provide updates, manage expectations, and ensure strategic alignment
  • Work with Program stakeholders to develop Program communications, set direction, goals, and determine priorities
  • Provide leadership and communication to customers and internal Hitachi Solutions stakeholders on Program progressions, challenges, threats, risks, etc
  • Mentor and guide Program team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Provide first-line escalation point to your team on Program and professional matters, able to coach and resolve conflicts
  • Implement a quality management plan to monitor processes and quality control activities including health reviews, stage gates and deliverable reviews
  • Drive vendor and partner management, including status reporting, RAID log management and issue resolution, performance monitoring, and change control
  • Champion Program governance, compliance, and reporting standards in line with Hitachi best practices
  • Facilitating risk assessment/mitigation sessions and follow-through risk management with a proactive, balanced, and business priority-driven approach
  • Leverage a solid understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Program and project management standards and best practices for successful execution while fostering continuous improvement of processes and execution
  • Manage and execute a Program budget of $35M+
  • Lead the preparation and execution of Program Executive Steering Committee meetings
  • Participate in Steering Committee activities as required as part of the project delivery process
  • Lead teams in the face of ambiguity; drive decision-making while balancing competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, Business Management, or related field
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
