Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in System Administration
  • Substantial expertise in the Azure cloud platform
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server administration; certifications are highly regarded
  • Proficient in managing MS Windows Server 2019 and newer versions
  • Experienced in deploying and managing Windows servers and services on Azure
  • Expertise in Windows Scripting languages, particularly PowerShell
  • A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including switching, routing, and firewalls
  • A self-motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities, with a customer-focused attitude and readiness to address urgent needs
  • Availability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule alongside team members
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security and operational integrity of Everbridge's corporate assets
  • Execute the migration of systems from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based solutions, with a focus on efficiency and minimal disruption
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to guarantee continuity and adherence to best practices
  • Proactively manage system vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches to maintain security and performance
  • Design, administer, and optimize computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and their configurations in both cloud and on-premises setups
  • Champion project initiatives, ensuring timely completion while providing guidance and support to team members
  • Advocate for and enhance Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change/Release Management processes
  • Monitor system performance, responding proactively to issues and optimizing for peak efficiency
  • Assume responsibility for system-related tasks, from support queries to improvement projects, with a high degree of autonomy
  • Act as a key point of contact between IT, business units, and external clients, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
  • Mentor Systems Administrators, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement software system enhancements to drive efficiency and reliability
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and business clients to support and advance business objectives
