Summary

Join iHerb as a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives combining eCommerce platforms and data science applications. Drive strategic programs enhancing the scalability, intelligence, and personalization of iHerb's digital experiences. As a central figure, ensure critical technical programs deliver maximum value on time and within scope. Collaborate with engineering, product, data science, and business teams. Build program artifacts and manage stakeholder communication. Promote program delivery excellence and agile best practices. Help ensure data privacy, compliance, and ethical standards in ML/AI initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical program management experience in fast-paced, product-centric environments
  • Proven track record leading large-scale software or data science initiatives end to end
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage with engineers and data scientists on architecture, modeling, infrastructure, and APIs
  • Deep experience with agile and hybrid methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
  • Experience in consumer eCommerce, personalization, search, or recommendation systems
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional programs involving engineering, data science, product, and business stakeholders from concept through execution and delivery
  • Drive program roadmaps for personalization, recommendation engines, search relevance, experimentation platforms, and eCommerce feature rollouts
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into execution plans, with clear deliverables and milestones
  • Manage program risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs while balancing speed, quality, and business impact
  • Drive alignment across executive sponsors, technical leaders, and cross-functional contributors
  • Build program artifacts (dashboards, timelines, decision logs, etc.) and manage stakeholder communication at all levels
  • Promote program delivery excellence and agile best practices across teams
  • Serve as a thought partner to engineering and data science leads in scaling systems and models for global performance and reliability
  • Help ensure data privacy, compliance, and ethical standards are upheld in ML/AI initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ML Ops pipelines, A/B experimentation, or data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, etc.)
  • Background in data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and AI governance
