Summary
Join Wiz, a rapidly growing cybersecurity company, as their Privacy, AI & Data Protection Counsel. Reporting to the Global Privacy Officer, you will be an integral part of the global legal, compliance, and security teams. This role involves working across various international privacy jurisdictions, providing guidance on data privacy and AI compliance, reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements, and serving as a subject matter expert. The position requires significant experience in privacy, data protection, and AI, including commercial contract experience. Wiz supports remote and hybrid work models in the US, Europe, the UK, and Israel.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, and AI, including significant commercial experience
- Transactional experience with a focus on addressing data protection and AI issues in commercial contracts, preferably in-house at technology companies (law firm experience will also be considered)
- Proven ability to quickly close agreements with customers and vendors on privacy, data protection, and AI matters during commercial negotiations
- Strong familiarity with privacy laws and frameworks, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
Responsibilities
- Work closely with and report to Wizβs Global Privacy Officer on Wizβs privacy, data protection, and AI compliance program, while being an integral part of the global legal, compliance, and security teams
- Operate across a range of international privacy jurisdictions, including the EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Asia (specifically Japan, Singapore, and India)
- Provide practical, business-focused guidance on data privacy, data protection, and AI-related compliance matters
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy, data protection, and AI issues, addressing questions from customers and internal stakeholders
- Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with customers and vendors, and advise legal team members on managing privacy, data protection, and AI-related issues in customer and vendor engagements
- Stay up to date with global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations
- Support product counsel by reviewing processing activities from a privacy, data protection, and AI compliance perspective
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of privacy requirements in Japan, India, Singapore, and Australia
