Summary

Requirements

  • Proven leadership: 10+ years of experience in product design or related field, with at least 7 years in leadership roles
  • User-centered vision: deep expertise in user-centered design principles
  • Strong design expertise: possess a strong portfolio showcasing design skills across various platforms
  • Exceptional communication: strong interpersonal, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • A collaborative spirit: a team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
  • Experience with multibranding design systems: proven experience in designing, implementing, and scaling multi-branded atomic design systems for complex B2B2C applications
  • Forward-thinking mindset: strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on design
  • Strategic alignment: proven ability to align design strategy with business objectives
  • Data-driven approach: advocate for data-driven design and experience implementing iterative and agile design processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a world-class diverse team: build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of product designers; foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Shape the product vision: collaborate with the VP of Product and Engineering to define the product vision and strategy; ensure design is at the forefront of product development; translate business objectives into a cohesive design direction
  • Drive design excellence: champion user-centered design principles and best practices; establish and maintain high standards for design quality
  • Create seamless user experiences: lead the design of intuitive user experiences for partners and customers across various platforms
  • Champion innovation: stay ahead of industry trends; explore new design approaches
  • Build a global design system: lead the development of a comprehensive multi-branded atomic design system supporting 70+ partners across 7 products; ensure flexibility and scalability to accommodate regional differences
  • Ensure future-proof design: stay informed about emerging technology trends and incorporate them into the design strategy
  • Lead with data and research: champion an iterative and agile design process; leverage data, user research, and other methods to inform design decisions
  • Lead internationalization and accessibility efforts: ensure designs accommodate diverse global markets, languages, and cultural nuances; implement accessibility best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the travel or aviation industry
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries
