Summary
Join Lingraphica as their Product Design Manager in a remote role, offering a $120,000 annual salary. Lead and mentor a team of product designers, developing and executing product design strategies aligned with company objectives. Responsibilities include conceptualizing user-focused designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring design quality. The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree in a relevant design field and extensive experience in UI/UX design, including experience with AAC devices and working with individuals with Aphasia. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or a related field and two years of experience in UI/UX design
- Experience must include two years each of the following: product design; applying accessibility guidelines such as WCAG to product design; design using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma; user-centered design, including user research and testing; and Agile development processes
- Experience must include one year each of the following: designing AAC devices and applications for people with Aphasia and other communication challenges; conducting user-acceptance testing with adults with Aphasia
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship
- Assign tasks, monitor workload, and ensure timely delivery of work
- Develop and execute product design strategies that align with the company’s overall strategic objectives. This includes understanding market trends, user needs, and business goals
- Participate in the design process by conceptualizing and creating user-focused designs
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure that designs are feasible and within scope
- Focus on creating an optimal user experience, incorporating user research and feedback into design decisions
- Oversee the quality of design deliverables, ensuring that they meet established standards and guidelines
- Develop prototypes to visualize and validate product ideas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, marketing, and product management to ensure design consistency and coherence across all product lines
- Create detailed design specifications for development teams
