Summary

Join Alignable, a remote-first, Series C growth-stage startup, as a Product Designer to help shape tools and experiences that connect small business owners with partners and customers. You will lead design within a cross-functional squad, collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing. Use your UX/UI expertise to craft seamless user experiences, and regularly engage with members to uncover their needs. As an early member of the Product Design team, you will influence design processes, team culture, and user-centered thinking. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex design challenges in a product redefining how small businesses grow through networking. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of UX/Product Design experience creating consumer-facing products (experience with small business (SMB) users strongly preferred; enterprise-only experience is not a fit)
  • A strong online portfolio showcasing shipped, user-centric designs, with clear case studies demonstrating your process, decisions, and impact
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing in a product-led, fast-paced environment
  • Figma proficiency and experience with design systems
  • A growth mindset, ownership mentality, and strong communication skills
  • User Research: Skilled in gathering, conducting, and applying insights to drive design decisions
  • Wireframing & Prototyping: Ability to quickly develop and iterate on concepts
  • User Journey Mapping & Requirements Gathering: Turn user and business needs into intuitive experiences
  • User Testing: Plan, conduct, and synthesize testing for continuous improvement
  • Data-Informed Design: Comfortable working with analytics and behavioral data to refine UX
  • Empathy for SMB Users: Able to design simple, elegant experiences for non-tech-savvy small business owners
  • Context Switching: Manage multiple projects, both strategic and tactical, and connect the dots between micro and macro UX

Responsibilities

  • Champion UX: Advocate for user-centric design across teams, from early concepts to final execution
  • Understand Members: Regularly engage with SMB users to translate their needs into intuitive, impactful designs
  • Iterate Fast: Thrive in a dynamic environment with quick design cycles and constant learning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing for social networking or referral-driven platforms is a plus
