Product Designer

Summary

Join BoostDraft, a rapidly growing, profitable legal tech company, as a Product Designer. You will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our innovative document drafting platform used by thousands of legal professionals globally. This fully remote position offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work on challenging projects involving NLP, GenAI, and design system development. You will collaborate with a team of experienced engineers and product managers to design, test, and launch new features, while also contributing to product marketing efforts. We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in product design and a proven track record of shipping successful software products.

Requirements

• Possess strong interaction and UX design skills and apply modern methodologies
• Be proficient with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) for creating specs and storytelling
• Be dedicated to quickly validating hypotheses with user flows and prototypes at appropriate fidelity
• Create user research briefs and expand on the thinking of stakeholders, product managers, and engineering leads
• Be meticulous about collecting feedback and dissecting large qualitative data from multiple sources
• Have a solid understanding of design systems and component-based design and how to use them to resolve user pain and help software engineering ship faster
• Have 3-5 years of experience in a Product Design role at an internet economy, digital-first company, or digital agency/consultancy, resulting in shipping real software products (still running today)
• Have worked cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and researchers or with clients, 3rd-party consultants, and business stakeholders
• Demonstrate ownership and independence in spearheading user insight gathering (quantitative and qualitative) and translating them into design decisions
• Include a portfolio showcasing real-world shipped products and design rationale for interview consideration
• Proficiency in English and have used it at a working level in another business role

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop an understanding of customer friction and delight, relating it to their professional habits
• Identify incremental usability improvements and standardize design system components for better quality and faster engineering
• Introduce existing features to new markets with minimal localization cost
• Design minimal viable products fitting core hypotheses when expanding to new JTBDs
• Use design to unblock difficult engineering iterations
• Use design to create more accuracy through seamless user feedback
• Determine content and assets for product marketing, including language and tone for new features
• Package marketing materials to enhance storytelling for commercial team members
• Introduce quantitative and qualitative trackers to validate user reactions to improvements and share findings with the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching a product in one local market and scaling it to multiple countries with different languages/cultures
• Experience building SAAS software or working in an early-stage startup
• Experience in adjusting design for Eastern language localization
