Summary

Join Braze's growing Product Engineering team as a highly talented UI/UX Designer! Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to design and improve Braze products. Conduct user experience research and refine the UI/UX based on user feedback and product goals. Participate in shaping Braze's product strategy and roadmap. You will need proficiency with Figma or similar tools and familiarity with modern frontend software engineering. A strong plus is experience with data-intensive or ML products, especially SaaS. The role requires problem-solving, empathy, organization, and clear communication skills.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Figma or similar tools
  • Familiarity with modern frontend software engineering (Vue, React, etc.), so that you can design components that are not only functional and appealing, but easy for engineers to build
  • Experience with data-intensive or ML products (ideally, SaaS)
  • Problem solver: you recognize patterns, synthesize information and come up with creative, simple, and practical solutions
  • Empathetic: you focus on user needs and work to help them achieve their goals as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Structured and organized: you can structure a plan, align stakeholders, and see it through to execution
  • Tinkerer: you regularly explore and learn new technologies and methods
  • Clear communicator: you are able to express yourself clearly and persuasively, both in writing and speech

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers on the visual and interaction design of Braze products, including wireframing and creating high-fidelity prototypes
  • Understand product workflows and functionality to improve navigation flows, component behavior, and coherence of style
  • Conduct user experience research using qualitative and quantitative approaches
  • Refine the product UI and UX (e.g., flows and layouts) based on users feedback, observed usage patterns, and product goals
  • Participate in determining Braze’s product strategy and roadmap

Track record of success in a fast-paced startup environment is a strong plus
