Product Designer

Summary

Join DroneDeploy as a Product Designer and collaborate with a Lead Designer from research to final implementation, receiving built-in mentoring. Shape intuitive experiences for our platform, ensuring features meet user needs and advance DroneDeploy's mission. Work with cross-functional teams, conduct usability testing, and present design decisions to stakeholders. Help develop and maintain design systems. This role reports to the Director of Design and offers flexibility and remote work options. DroneDeploy is a leading provider of reality capture software, offering a dynamic, remote-first culture and numerous professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience working on end-to-end design projects, from research to implementation
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and experience applying JTBD or similar frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote, cross-functional teams
• Strong proficiency in design tools, particularly Figma
• Experience in developing and managing scalable design systems
• A portfolio showcasing your ability to deliver impactful, user-centered design solutions that align with business objectives
• Work-related travel: Available to travel approximately two to three times a year for offsites, customer visits and conferences

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the entire design lifecycle - supporting user research, prototyping, and final implementation
• Apply customer-centric frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to create designs that deeply resonate with user needs and drive business goals
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer success, to align designs with business objectives and resource constraints
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on real-world feedback to continuously enhance the user experience
• Present and articulate design decisions and concepts to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy
• Help develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across DroneDeploy’s platform
