Summary
Join Elation's team and become a Product Designer, owning the design process for complex problems within a specific product domain. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality features and shaping the strategic direction of your domain. Deeply understand user needs and workflows to ensure solutions address the right problems. Lead the design process from discovery to delivery, making key decisions on solution direction and details. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a high-quality user experience and define user satisfaction metrics. Mentor other designers and drive initiatives to improve team culture and processes. The role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000-145,000 USD.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, web-based products in a cross-functional team
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating your ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces, from research and strategy through to polished, human-centered user experiences. Your portfolio should showcase your strengths in UX, UI, and visual design
- Proven experience in leading and executing a variety of user research methods
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of building strong partnerships with Product and Engineering
- Proficiency in modern design tools like Figma
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand our users βtheir problems, workflows, and jobs-to-be-doneβto ensure we are always solving for the right thing
- Own and lead the design process from discovery to delivery, making key decisions on solution direction and details
- Drive the strategic direction of your domain in partnership with Product and Engineering, forecasting the impact of your solutions on users
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a clear, consistent, and high-quality user experience
- Define and own the user satisfaction and usability metrics for your solutions, ensuring the team is aligned on how to measure success
- Act as a leader on the design team by mentoring other designers, leading design critiques, and driving initiatives that improve our culture, tools, and processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing for complex workflows is a must; experience in healthcare or with AI-powered experiences is a strong plus
