Requirements
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, especially demonstrating emotional intelligence
- Practice humble, productive collaboration, driving towards the best solution possible, and understanding when and how to effectively compromise
- Understand how to βnegotiateβ with engineering constraints and iterate on a solution
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product vision, goals, and user needs
- Proactively manage and communicate projects
- 3+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of delivering successful products
- Experience in healthcare or related industry
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design
- Desire to work in a growing tech startup
- Strong exposure to and familiarity with Figma (or experience with similar tools like, ProtoPie, Framer, Adobe XD, etc.)
- Strong exposure to and familiarity with Figma Design System, Storybook, or similar
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces leveraging and building upon our design system
- Create interactive prototypes to test, iterate, and refine design concepts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and clinicians to define product requirements and design objectives
- Develop high-fidelity visual designs for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency and coherence across platforms
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, usability testing, and data analysis
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare software design
- Champion a user-centric design approach, advocating for the needs and preferences of end users throughout the product development lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with other designers working on interconnected projects happening in parallel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lucid, FigJam, Miro (or similar)
- Experience with Maze, Userzoom, Optimal Workshop (or similar)
- Previous experience working as a healthcare professional
- Ability to write user-friendly micro-copy, and create/maintain writing a style guide
- Experience working remotely at a tech startup
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries
- Experience creating user flows and journey maps
- Experience conducting usability tests to gather user feedback and refine designs
- Degree or certificate in design, user experience, human-computer interaction, or a related field
