Product Designer

Summary

Join Marker Learning, a rapidly growing startup, as a Product Designer specializing in Clinical Experience. You will play a key role in designing the next generation of learning disability evaluations, focusing on the psychologist's workflow and improving accessibility and standardization. This role involves leading design projects, conducting user research, creating design assets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be a key member of the Product team, contributing to the overall culture of Marker Learning. Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in software product design
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate customer needs, design decisions, and rationale to stakeholders
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with a strong bias for action

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for key projects, from ideation to delivery, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, effectively communicating design rationale
• Own and drive design problems from ideation to execution with a cross-functional team
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external brand partners across engineering, product management, design, and research
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions
• Facilitate user research, synthesize user feedback and data, and brainstorm with the team to improve the overall user experience
• Build and communicate empathy for the end user, aligning cross-functional peers on similar goals
• Champion and partner on key research studies to better understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations, translating insights into actionable design solutions
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard design tools
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides
• Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and best practices
• Build a deep understanding of customer needs to craft innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SaaS product design, healthcare or educational technology a plus
