Join Moneytree's Layer 2 Discovery Vertical as a designer to craft exceptional products solving real-world financial challenges. Contribute to product discovery, prototyping, usability testing, and the creation of functional user interfaces and visual systems. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with in-house, embedded, product teams
  • A product design-focused portfolio which displays an acute attention to detail
  • Experience working for a SaaS company, on web and mobile products and with distributed (remote) teams
  • Native Japanese (or JPLT N2 equivalent) and business-level English proficiency
  • Has basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced start up environment, while wearing multiple hats
  • A willingness to continually learn, embrace the unknown and receive feedback

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a design generalist, owning problems, translating research insights and business goals in to new ideas, designing the user journeys and detailed interactions to bring those ideas to life
  • Support research activities to solidify your team’s understanding of customer’s business problems and pain points
  • Create low-fidelity user flows and prototypes, considering accessibility and responsiveness, through to pixel-perfect mock-ups
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure that the finished product aligns closely with original design work and maintains a high quality standard
  • Apply an iterative design process by collaborating with non-design stakeholders to build consensus
  • Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of brand new design systems
  • Take advantage of product analytics and data to form solid hypotheses around user experience problems
  • Identify new opportunities and shift gears, when necessary, based on customer needs
  • Help drive the direction, in process and culture, of a young design team
