Product Designer

Summary

Join MileIQ as a Product Designer and reimagine mileage management with automation and AI. You will design intuitive interfaces for drivers and admins, conducting user research and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, proficiency in Figma, and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. You will own the end-to-end design strategy, champion design thinking, and push the boundaries of what's possible. MileIQ values high craft and offers a salary range of $150,000 - $190,000 a year.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with an emphasis on web dashboards and native mobile apps
• Experience with Figma
• Excellence in craft, creating holistic user flows, and data-driven design
• Experience with user research best practices and desire to own research for your area of the product
• A proactive collaboration style that brings together functions across the company
• A strong understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
• A growth mindset, a passion for learning, and a desire to push the boundaries of design in the age of AI

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design strategy and execution for our web and mobile platforms
• Design, diagram, wireframe, prototype, and conduct research to create elegant experiences that delight our customers and drive business growth
• Run user research and leverage quantitative data to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for meaningful innovation
• Champion a culture of design thinking within the organization, advocating for customer needs and promoting design as a strategic differentiator
• Proactively collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other functions to shape the product roadmap and ensure customer-insights are integrated into every stage of development
• Create truly delightful and intuitive customer experiences, sweating the details, prototyping, and testing new features and user flows, pushing the boundaries of what's possible and iterating based on customer feedback and data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating elegant solutions to complex technical problems while working in an ambiguous environment
• Frameworks and exercises to help teams rapidly go from problem to solution
• A deep understanding of standard and emerging design trends, technologies, and interaction patterns, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible
• A relentless pursuit of high craft and attention to detail in both UX and UI, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and user experience
• A strong understanding of data analytics and a data-driven approach to design
• A passion for continuous learning and a desire to stay at the forefront of the design field
