Product Designer

Summary

Join Reddit's Safety UX team as a Contract Product Designer! Collaborate with the UX Lead to design and deliver solutions for internal tooling and platform safety features. You'll work across web and mobile platforms, executing designs from ideation to delivery. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, experience in UX/UI design, and the ability to navigate complex systems. A portfolio showcasing your work is essential. Bonus points for design system experience!

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience in UX/UI design, with an excellent portfolio showcasing UX and UI design work in complex systems
• Strong product sensibilities
• Comfort with complexity and finding clarity in ambiguous situations
• Strong communication skills
• Humble, curious, and motivated to ship the best product

Responsibilities

• Support the design of Safety UX
• Translate complex ideas into elegant, scalable, and intuitive design solutions across both our web and mobile app platforms
• Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery, balancing innovation with usability
• Collaborate with other designers, product managers, engineers, and UX researchers with effective exploration, communication, and presentation to realize deliverables
• Bonus: If you’ve got design system experience, apply that to the development of new patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in safety or related functions
• Ideally, an inspired story-teller with strong written and presentation skills who is adept at bringing others along in their process for maximum buy-in and impact
