Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design or a related field
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in product design for web and mobile platforms
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Figma for designing and prototyping user interfaces and experience conducting user testing sessions to gather actionable insights and improve product design
• Creativity: A portfolio demonstrating excellent UI/UX design skills and creative problem-solving
• User Focus: A passion for crafting delightful user experiences with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity
• Design System Development: Expertise in building scalable design systems, including typography, colors, grids, and reusable components
• Component Management: Skilled in creating and maintaining UI components in Figma, with clear documentation for team adoption
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Figma, with bonus familiarity in HTML, CSS, or React
• Adaptability: Ability to balance multiple design projects with care, ensuring high-quality outcomes even under tight timelines
• Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design user-centric features for Sezzle's platforms
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interaction flows that are both functional and beautiful
• Conduct user research and testing to validate design decisions and improve product usability
• Develop design systems and maintain consistency across multiple touchpoints
• Explore opportunities to incorporate illustration, animation, and interactive design into user interfaces to enhance engagement
• Stay up-to-date on design trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to inspire innovative solutions
• Define and evolve the design system, create and maintain reusable UI components in Figma, and develop documentation to ensure consistency and adoption across teams and platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in illustration to create visuals that align with Sezzle's brand identity
• Knowledge of animation tools (e.g., After Effects, Lottie) to create micro-interactions and animated elements
• Experience designing interactive components to elevate user engagement
