Summary
Join Uberall's dynamic team as a Product Designer and play a key role in shaping user experiences across three agile squads. Collaborate with product managers, developers, UX researchers, and DesignOps consultants to create user-centered designs. Conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and enhance the design system. Actively participate in agile ceremonies and foster cross-squad collaboration. Provide mentorship to junior designers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in product design, preferably within an agile environment
- Data centric mindset: Strong expertise in user-centered design processes, with hands-on experience in conducting user research and usability testing. You ensure that data-driven insights consistently guide your design decisions
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, experience in research methods and validating ideas
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Agility: Ability to work across multiple squads and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail across web and mobile platforms
Responsibilities
- Collaborative Design Process: Work closely with product managers and developers across three squads to define product design strategies that align with user needs and business objectives
- User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and iterate on design solutions based on feedback
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and facilitate user testing
- Visual Design: Collaborate closely with the DesignOps consultant to continuously enhance and expand the design system. Focus on rebranding efforts and reconciling existing components to ensure consistency across the entire app
- Research ops: Continuously build and utilise a research repository for every tested or researched initiative, fostering a strong data-driven culture across the company
- Agile Environment: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives within each squad. Adapt quickly to changes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product development process
- Cross-Squad Collaboration: Maintain a holistic view of the product and ensure that design decisions are aligned across the three squads. Foster communication and collaboration to ensure consistency in user experience
- Mentorship & Growth: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and collaborate with the design team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
